Thoughts / coments appreciated|||..... because apparently people are more inclined to get the game at such a low price, and then decide that its so awesome they can afford the DLC as well? Kinda stupid question IMO..
The answer is always because the companies think it sells better this way.|||Malacai|||DLC is more attractive because it's just a download. You don't have to print DVDs, the retailers don't get a cut... DlC breaks even with a lot less number of copies sold.|||as a side note: dont ALL games go on sale when their expansions come out? You could buy Dawn of War 2 + expansions combined for less than the upcoming expansion..
/thread|||Haha this thread is kinda funny. Really shows how sneaky DLC's can be.
Borrow a CD from someone who has SupCom2, install... and of course it has to update. No biggie, can't be too big, probably be at 90% with the CD.
Nope...
You get a CD that only installs 40% of the game apparently. O_o
I love Steam at times.|||And?. Because of the numerous and positive patches?.
Thing which reminds me once more on the ultra-required that should include some few critical fixes... ( probably one of the last patches we see for this game... probably not; crossing fingers ).|||GrayRainsFalling|||What you do is get someone to copy their patched Sup2 folder onto a DVD. You then copy that DVD into steam... and then play it.|||I thought unauthorized games/dlc didnt work.. If you dont use a certain steam hack I wont mention..|||I assume GRF just borrowed the account details too.|||If he's downloading 60% of the game from Steam, obviously he has legit access to it in some way. In that case, what BM said would work fine for someone with a slow connection.|||With hax, you can actually illegally download games from steam. It pretty much activates every game for you.|||Its called merchandising
