So I start the game, and every single load screen (opening title, cutscenes, load screens etc.), plays for 1-2 seconds, then stops for 6 seconds. Then it plays for 2 more. I have not even got to the actual game because it just takes too long. I have been asking around everywhere, searching google, and noone seems to have this exact problem or found a solution. Please help!
P.S. My system specs should be able to run the game well. On low settings, atleast.
P.S.S. My graphics drivers are up-to-date|||Your topic contains only your complaint. Are people supposed to magically fix it? Some information might help, like your actual setup.. hardware? OS?|||Well, I was kinda hoping I would mosy on in here and someone already had this complaint and you guys were able to fix it.
OS: Windows XP
Hardware:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 (2.40 GHz)
RAM: 2 GB
Graphics card: Nvidia Gforce 8800 GTS OC|||Disease|||I think it's just single core
But, just to make sure, what did you do to activate your other core?|||Yeeaah. That single core just might kill performance. A dual-core is pretty much the minimum for the game to run well. But if it is a dual-core, load up the game and stay on the main menu. Alt-Tab out of the game and open the task manager. Right-click on SupremeCommander2.exe and go to Set Affinity. Make sure all cores are checked. Then close the task manager and return to the game.|||X-Cubed|||From my experience troubleshooting various problems, every person I've come across that has a single core and tries to play this game never can properly play it.
Sounds like you have a single core. If that's the case, you really won't be able to run it.|||I remember when I had the demo, I could actually play the actual game with minimal lag (on low settings). So, this problem is just the load screens and such.
Also, when I right click on Supremecommander in the task manager, the options I have are:
End Process
End Process Tree
And Set Priority|||Disease|||-The-Baron-|||Spooky|||Spooky|||Well, that sux for me
