Hi

I am a new member to SupCom2, bought it on steam when they had the sale score! Decided to buy it see'ing as I couldn't lose with it being at the price it was. I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Eric and I have been playing RTS games for years. Happened upon this forum while searching for "supcom2 strategies".
I have been playing skirmish for a few days trying to get the hang of things, so far I think I'm doing alright. I've watched how the CPU's play on hard mode and try to "mimic" the strategy while making my own adjustments to my play style. It seems the CPU's go for quick units and scout/poke at your buildings alot. I try the same strat but try to be quicker and in more mass, which usually is effective against them. I have yet to try online and I am sure its going to be different.
Anyway if anyone has any suggestions for a newb to the game by all means post away.
I am also an administrator for a large Gaming Community which currently has a SupCom2 section. If anyone is looking to join a massively organized gaming clan, which just recently celebrated it's 12th birthday (http://warriornation.net/Forum/showthread.php?t=614989), you can go to http://www.warriornation.net and click "join" at the top left. The process is "similar" to GPG's forum registration, but a little more in depth. If you do choose to sign up a couple factors:
Recruiter/referrer field: WNxERIC (using my name will help speed up the account approval process by days).
Primary Game: Supreme Commander 2
Aside from those two aspects, my XFire is WNxERIC, if you'd like to get in contact with me. Or you can PM me on the GPG forums, I hope to get to know some of you guys here and learn how to play a little bit better :).

Sorian has done a great deal to improve the AI, but it is still not quite the same as playing another human (for one thing it won't try to cheese you).
In terms of advise for you as a noob? In terms of tactics, don't be too tempted to turtle and build a wall of point defense. In terms of advice on how to be as a person, just be thick skinned if someone shouts at you (And if they're wrong, say umad repeatedly) and always try to improve your playstyle and learn from your mistakes.
And yes, gamereplays is an invaluable resource for learning.|||_PINK|||Check out Soviet Prides guide on there too. lots of tips and tricks to be learnt

Comma selects your commander, which gives you a split second lead over your opponents but only works if you're not hitting the build cost reduction upgrades out of the gate, which most people do.
