GPG know that shotjas are still OP right?

There is no way to win a game against a 4 fac shotja spam. Shotjas should in no way be able to be produced from an opening build as it is uncouterable. The only thing I can think that can beat it is a 4 fac air rush, but that in itself is extremely useless.|||TheWord|||I haven't had anyone 4 factory shotja rush me before, so I won't comment on that yet. One thing I have noticed is that mass shotjas is countered by mass brackmen.|||Or bombers.|||You should try and see if you can do anything against a shotja 4 fac. it just ain't funny.|||Shame Open palms is also probably the only map in which cybran isn't wtfshaftedPWNED from the get-go >.> (And that, to a large degree.)

Cybran is strong on many maps.|||Explain how you use brackmen to counter shotja's... Don't shotja's have longer range? Plus, it takes a second or two for the b'men to raise their cannons.|||I change my position: it isn't unbeatable, but it is still a bitch to defeat. If you don't go air you are 100% screwed.|||Word
-If you remember, I have seen your game before the tourny, and you were playing on powerdrome mesa or such, in a diagonal spawning position
Taking in consideration that the distance between the two diagonal positions of that map is about 3/4 of the distance between the horisental positions (since its a square)
And that the distance between the two most distanced spawning positions on open palms is about the same length as the two horisental spawning positions on powerdrome, Your build might have actually countered the 4-fac rush if you had both spawned in horisental positions?
Have you tried this?|||Distance is definitely a key consideration. Basically if the distance is enough you have time to make a decent air force then you win. Otherwise it's QQ|||cat's full on brackman army owned my shotja army that had superior numbers in an FFA yesterday. Shotja's just dont micro well with their turret and no firing backwards. If you try to get them out of the way they just become fodder that cant shoot. Also unless you have forward radar your shotja's full range cant be utilized until they are well within brackman range because vision is far less than range- and no radar.
and 4fac rush can be countered by ANYONE who scouts it in a timely manor. ROTW on gr forums for last week proves it. I went for some cheese on QAI vs yippyhippy and lost because he started with an air fac and scouted immediately. Couldnt overcome the scouting..
nerf scouting!|||haha. I was on teamspeak with cat and mightygod when that game happened. I haven't played with shotjas that often, but it seems to me that once you attack with them, then you're pretty much committed to that attack unless you have some tanks to cover their retreat. I will admit cybran probably has the easiest time countering this unless you are 4 fact rushing yourself (purely based on that crap game that you pulled on me)|||they totally thought his brackman spam was gonna beat me didnt they....|||Fine, its only OP on small maps. Still, OP = OP. You dont open with air on maps like palms, nor do you use mass brackmen until you scout the rush. And then its likely too late.|||commiebob|||Yes, cybran is strong on many maps.
