Top 1 reason I hate Supreme Commander 2

1. It created a giant, gaping, chasm of a division in the community a caused a lot of unneeded drama.

To me, everything else are design changes that I disagree with. I could argue points about those changes all day long, but at the end of the day - changes were made, and the game has long since shipped a lot of copies.|||Thanks for restating the obvious for the 1000th time. Your opinion is incredibly much appreciated.|||Supreme Commander 2 is just the basic for Kings and Castles aka a quick moneymaker.|||OP++. For all the little debatable annoyances I have with SupCom2, the worst thing about it is almost certainly what happened when it collided with the existing community.|||Let's add more to the drama:
Which was more successful? Excluding FA...
1. Supreme Commander
2. Supreme Commander 2|||Sex|||Cygmus|||Supreme commander 2 also did add people to the community and not just split it in 2.|||How much effect do you think Steam had on SupCom2? With the DLC, Steam deals, gifting, Steamworks, etc. I know I have gifted over a dozen copies of the game and DLC during the deals. Imagine if SupCom1 were to be on Steam today.|||BulletMagnet|||Image|||It's not that I dislike supcom2.
It's just that when I play it, I can't help but be disappointed and think it could have been so much better.
It it might have sold well but that doesn't mean people are still playing it.
I know I play it once every 3 months or so, but I play FA every week.|||DaemonicKnight|||Col. Jessep|||spuddyt|||Jesus christ, you kids are still fighting about this bullshit?
-Supcom 1 was pretty fun
-Supcom 2 was also pretty fun
wtf is the problem?|||I think the "discussions" about SupCom 2 and even the original drove sane people away from any SupCom community forum. Sorry, but we come across as total arses if you read the average post here and elsewhere. That's an internet fact.
I do think SupCom 2 lured in more active players though if you look at the Steam stats and what developers have said about it. SupCom 1 sold well but a lot of folks immediately discarded the game for various issues which weren't present in SupCom 2.
The DLC divides the SupCom 2 community yes, that would be a real valid complaint.|||BulletMagnet|||_CYAN|||_PINK|||GrayRainsFalling|||Split, whys it have to be split? Cause some cheap asses won't buy a DLC that has been on sale for less that $3. I can point you to some much more expensive and shitty DLC if you like. As for your OP noone cares anymore there are those that like it and those that don't, I'm hoping for more DLC and Sup Com 3.|||_PINK|||_PINK|||Quote:
