[:1]We're looking to gain a nice place to hang out! So if anyone has anywhere, contact me via PM!
Ventrilo

Ventrilo download: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php|||What's the problem with the Steam voice chat?|||Well, I think it would be far easier to have a teamspeak where everyone can easily log on and leave in the background. I find the steam chat annoying, and adding voice to that just complicates the whole situation. ; )|||I like this idea, remmy.
Maybe we can talk gr.org into providing a dedicated server of some sort. i know teamspeak mounts well to websites so people can just click the link on the homepage and connect directly - it also shows who is currently in the server from the homepage|||I would get to annoy everyone in person! This would be great!
IT would probably get me playing 2v2 and 3v3 again as well, I hate playing with random folks... I always get stuck with the 13 year old who put 40 points into his land tree and then only ever use fighters... or at least thats the only conceivable thing I can come up with for the amount of suck they exhibit.
Somehow talking to someone reassures me of their intelligence|||I've just found a guy offering a server, and have emailed him. I'll update you again when I get a reply.|||I have a ts3 beta server running on debian @ 100mbit.
You guys would be more then welcome there.
Ill give some info here:
ip = 130.89.160.57
port = default (9987)
nopassword needed to enter public channels
(private channels accessible once added to a group)
I live in Europe and am connected to ts3 about every evening and frequently during the day. If you guys are interested, come check it out, ill add some channels if needed etc.|||Prototype|||I often use Skype when playing 2vs2 and 3vs3 as the built in voice for supcom seems to dim the game sounds a hell of a lot.|||We use mumble, it's awesome!|||Well my server is pretty dedicated, have been running ts2 since 2006, recently upgraded to ts3. It is running 24/7 on a linux debian box and above all it has a 100mbit full duplex internet connection ... can it be better?
It is just that I am not always there myself to arrange the server, that is why I posted when it is likely you can find me there.|||I have tried mumble aswell, and yes it is a good alternative.
However I personally prefer TS3 atm.|||Prototype|||Only reason I do prefer ts above vent is because it is free to setup a ts3 server with 512 slots .. let me repeat .. free !
And since my server is running at my own room, I prefer free .. did I say free ?
lol :)
Anyway, test it if you like and we will see.
ts3 is a huge improvement over ts2|||_Remmy_|||Teamspeak is not directly through steam. It's better, clearly, and and far easier to adjust. It also makes switching rooms etc easier. Come and try it out. ;)|||I know how Teamspeak works ;). But I don't use it, since it's far easier to communicate via Steam voice chat with my Team in SupCom2 or TF2. No need to install anything and join a room etc.|||Are you arguing with me spooky.. :evil: Please just do it. :P|||_Remmy_|||I'm a server admin.|||I haven't used steam chat, but surely as soon as the game ends you lose communication with everyone you were talking to. Also, you can only talk to the people in the game. That's two big advantages for TS, no?|||Well, the outside of game steam chat can stay on, but Teamspeak is far superior in every way.|||Maybe I'll exercise my english with it hehe :)|||Get in here, there's almost 15 of us here nowww!|||If that doesn't work out, I have a 100 slot Ventrilo server that I would happily let anyone use. I can also set up private channels and admins for anyone interested.
