Strategy Thread (STRATEGY ONLY PLEASE) (READ OP)

This is a topic about different strategies about Supreme Commander 2. If you have a strategy, or have seen one and want to know about it tell and I, or we'll try to help you out. Although I am not to good with knowing about strategies, I am hoping people who are will be nice enough to help us out here.
DO NOT ARGUE OR INSULT, THIS IS A THREAD ABOUT STRATEGY.

acu rush is easy to counter with one player with tanks, both players get pd under fact shield tanks split and kill research stations, if acu defend they are not attacking your base letting you build a big eco, ACU rush loses.|||You fail to realise how much of an advantage going 4 RS gives you.
Anyone care to ballpark how many RP can be earnt during the time that someone builds a fac. and starting mexes?

Now consider that two ACUs are going to be beating down on the door of one opposing ACU, who has been busy setting up a base. Don't expect help from the other ACU as that will be still in it's start - finishing it's base.
The only way to get two ACUs to defend against the ACU rush is to forgo building with the ACU. In that case, the best option is to just ACU rush as well.
While it's true that fac. shield and a PD will stop a single ACU, I doubt it will stop two. Adding more PD underneath the shield will do little as the shield is what matters. That one shield.|||madface|||Every strategy can be argued and counterargued to death. If you tell me beforehand what strategy you will use before we start the game, well, then I'll change my gameplay to beat that strategy. In this sense, every strategy can be countered. Instead, strategies of gameplay are executed by a balance of probabilities that the opponent cannot predict what you will do.
You need to take some risks in order to exploit a certain aspect of the game. There is no way that you can safeguard yourself 100% airtight so as to build a strong offensive army, strong defensive army, upgrade to the max, etc., all at the same time. That's just not going to happen, unless you're playing 20 min no rush.|||Stop arguing guys :P A double comrush beats everything but 2 players with more skill than the comrushers. Builds dont matter much here. The guy with tanks can fend off a comrush, the guy who goes research can comrush back, and will do better in the long run since he has mexes. If 2 comrushing guys get to kill 1 guy, then either his buddy will show up to help, kill the comrusher bases, or do nothing. Whereas doing nothing is obviously stupid.|||RPhilMan1|||Stratagy thread. 2 commander rush on 1 opponent at outset of game. In the meantime, one player spams land, while the other spams air. Once the 2 commander rush eliminates 1 opponent, the land + air team up and take out a second commander.
PROS: Early elimination of imbalance.

My hidden motive behind this is to make these forms worth being on again.
if i was only a moderator,id make things here SO DIFFERENT|||Strategy... Pick aeon, make a bunch of research stations and send the ACU to the enemy.
Pick Cybran, do the above.
Pick UEF, make a bunch of tanks and just steamroll someone.
Large map - just make air.
This works for 99.99 percent of games sadly.
