[:1]I am new enough to the game that I'm still playing the single-player campaign in order to tweak my control scheme (using a Logitech G13 & Microsoft Sidewinder X8).
I've already found that the fastest way to traverse the battle field is to zoom out to the strategic view and then zoom in to the area I want to see.
My problem is that I feel like I'm missing something. Where is the keymap for going straight to the strategic zoom?
The closest I've found is the "Reset Camera" function, since you can hit it twice to get there, which let me create my own "Goto Strategic View" button on my G13, but it seems like there should be a dedicated function for this.
Am I missing something obvious?|||idsmoker|||If there is a function like that, im not using it.. Its not like zooming out manually is too much of a pain anyways..|||-The-Baron-|||It would be possible with a UI mod.
Nobody mods the Sup2 UI though, shame really.|||You might be able to configure your mouse wheel so it scrolls faster. Thus making the transition to strategic and back again much quicker.
I don't think there is any configuration you can do in game, so adjust your mouse wheel sensitivity in windows.|||pressing "v" will instantly take you to a full zoom out view. Pressing "v" again will take you back to your previous camera position and zoom level.
You can use this to "save" a camera position by moving your view where you want it, press"v" to zoom out, and then manually zoom in and move the camera around too where ever. Pressing "v" again will take you back to the viewpoint before you pressed "v".|||Whilst I've found a toggle to go back to full zoom and vice versa both useful and comfortable sometimes (in FA where it's moddable), generally most people simply dont play the game that way.
I suspect once you get more used to the game your desire for such a key will fade away.|||Data_machine
