Thanks in advance|||When you dont have the DLC, you indeed dont see DLC lobbies. I think theres a few more people playing with DLC. I personally only play private games though.|||such huge shame =\ feels like this game is dead and its not even that old, supcom is what a strat game should be.|||Its not completely dead.. you can find a game when you want to. But if you want to play with and against decent players, you'd better start breeding a huge friends list.|||You should get the DLC, it is totally worth the money.
If no games are open, just host your own game and most of the time it will fill up easily.
Many people are just waiting to join a game, they don't host their own, at least thats my experience.|||there are other 1k a day playing supcom 2 with or without teh DLC and jsut under 500 playing supcom 1 and fa.
supcom 2 aka steam says at this time 1.047 players are online.
gpgnet has about 380 online at this time.|||reddev33|||argh that probly right and true about the you can play fa offline but most use gpgnet wither way.|||Some thoughts:
- Agreed - DLC is absolutely worth the money. Get it and love it.
- In my experience over the past couple of months, Non-DLC is mostly comprised of awful players where at least 70% of games are crappy-exclusions-all-over-the-place games. Also, in the DLC area, 50% or more of games, especially 1v1s and 2v2s, are against the best of the best.
- Yep, the game has been dying steadily for a long time, with occasional spurts of activity.
- Still worth playing, even in skirmish. Between random span, AI configuration, and good choice of maps, you can set yourself up with all sorts of wonky scenarios. (The other night I did me + Maxed Cheating AI vs 6 random Hard AIs, random spawn random faction on setons - loads of fun, if not near impossible)|||vax2007|||This thread made me think of the time when the supcom lobby was actually so filled, that you had to scroll down to see the other 1 or 2 games that weren't already seen. I don't remember if this was before or after the dlc. Get the dlc, its worth it.
