[:1]hey all, im disapointed by starcraft 2 and i want to buy supcom 2. This is like starcraft or warcraft 3 generally, right?
i want to know a thing - we can in supcom to play cooperative? i mean can i create a game 3 humans vs 5 computers for example and ppl will join?
have cross realm option? i mean from europe can i play with americans?
can play with observers? i mean 1v1 + observers for example? can host replays online?|||Answers to your questions: Sort of, yes, yes, and yes.|||[cool and btw, how many slots have a game? 8? and can add observers when creating a game?
is there a stats or ranking system, some ladder?
Are many players online, in channels or something?
My pc from 4 years ago is good for this game? for starcraft 2 with low graphic options was good (GEFORCE 7950GT 542 MB, ABIT AB9 QuadGT, INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6300, 2GB RAM, XP home)|||xromania|||xromania|||You wont be dissapointed coming from starcraft or warcraft'ee games, if your looking for actually cool games where you can go from 1v1 micro, where a single click or mistake can matter to 4v4 awesome shellfests, with shields that defend, and hour long games. Or play a good 2v2 or a large 1v1 and have a medium style game where you just play to win, and be average like that!|||thanks. I will buy it online from main site here
http://store.na.square-enix.com/store/s ... D.16256100
im wonder how will be the transaction? i will receive a download link and a cd-key? this game have a expansion and need to buy it too?
or what other trusted sites to buy and download it are?|||xromania|||im trying right now to order it from main site but i dont see any information, if is avaible for download or if is a DVD sent by postal services, how stupid they are? sure ill be avaible for dl and ill receive a cd-key? and this game have a expansion? i asked that in last post but you ignored the answer:)
on their site the price in higher than in my local store, why? then i give up. IN my store need to wait for it, they dont have yet. Should i download the demo? have this the online features to test or cant play online in demo?|||Just buy it on steam.|||You need a steam account to patch it and play it anyway. It really is the easiest and cheapest way to go.
The demo doesn't reflect the current economy system since a major update. It will provide a sense of the game but nothing more.|||what u mean? if i buy it from my local store then need to buy again the patch on their site or what? but in my store the game is more cheaper than online. And what is a steam anyway?|||xromania|||The required download you NEED to play SupCom 2 is damned near 2 Gigabytes, and thats not including the many patches it has.... Hence why I dont play it, Plus an Internet connection IS REQUIRED to run steam, and steam is required to play SupCom2.
Personally, in my eyes, SupCom2 is half baked XD Its not really worth it, and is especially a waste of money when you dont have a highspeed internet connection 24/7.|||brandon007|||just installed it, hm pretty cool. Starcraft 2 looks better but dont have the many online options supcom have. And supcom seems to have to many units and stuff and because that i think is a laggy game. Also i think arent so many ppl online and we dont have chat chanels, only the steam chanells, usually empty
But here is ladder only 1v1? and players dont have stats? where i see how many wins loses a player have?...|||Dont forget to try out the mods :)
also supcom2 runs better than any other game you've played, with better settings. I disagree on the lag.|||xromania|||hm ok..
But im wrong or the game isnt so populated and there sometimes are only 2-3 games in the lobby?
and i had more questions please, see my last post... about ladder etc|||xromania|||You can see rankings by clicking on the steam ladder icon on the main menu. You can search for any player there and there are about 30 options by which you can sort it.|||ok im repeating my questions third time...
is ladder only for 1v1?
there are only 4-5 created games in the lobby usually, right?
so cant see a player stats (some wins or rating)? the only way to see is to search his name?|||You are pretty much right. You can click on a player's avatar to see their profile on steam though. Depending on their settings you will be able to see the number of hours they have played.
At peak times you will sometimes see 10 to 15 games in the lobby.|||xromania|||thanks, nice game anyway but to bad there are no other good strategy games, these programers arent able to make a real game like starcraft 1
