I can easy put Gauge's shield off and destroy Shiva Prime's enemy summoners, but then, Gauge attacks with 4 Megalith, 2Colosseus and some loyalists and they destroy my base, and i mean evrything in my base. How i can beat him?|||About 10 sole ripper II gunships should do it I think.|||It's not so easy get your own Defend strong and then make 10 soul rippers.|||Thread moved to SupCom2 General Discussion.
Mike|||You need to build up your defence and economy before taking down the last shield. Get up a comfotable defence first, and then make a lot of power generators and mass convertors. This takes some population, so you need to be wise with what you build. Dont make normal land units (or if you did, suicide them after your economy is up and running), and instead make experimentals. Same goes for air, Soul Ripper can kill everything. The less population you waste, the more power generators you can make, and the more experimentals you can afford. Only go kill the last shield when you feel comfortable you can destroy the attack that will follow. Also, use Proto Brains for research, costs less population.
I myself made a huge ton of PDs and shields as defence, with a few engineers to keep repairing them. Unfortunately, that is most of the time better than using actual units. The campaign endorses turtling to a rediculous degree.|||Neph's right.
PDs, AATs and Shields will basically win this level. It isn't much different from the first level except Dr Brachman lets you go on the offensive this time and unleash CRexes on your foe Mr Gauge.
Make sure you make mass conversion your friend. The earlier the better. Everything else is frosting.|||THanks alot! I finally Kill William Gauge.
DO you know is come ever Supreme Commander 3, becouse on last custance Dr. Brackman gives tecnhology to Gauge....|||We dont know. Probably. The story is lame though, i wouldnt play it for that.|||Nephylim|||I dont like the personal approach. I also dont like all the plot holes and the excuse they used to restart the war. I was basically wondering what the F I was doing all the way through. I guess its just a huge change from FA. Seems fitting, seems the battle scales have shrunk too.
Let me make a list of what I was wondering during the campaign:
- (UEF 1) Why am I at war? No cutscene or (clear) explanation? Just like that? curbstomp the cybrans!
- (UEF 3) Why am I attacking this Gauge guy? Just cuz he is cybran? And what is he doing here? He has a space temple to run away, so he must be here for a reason...
- (UEF6) Why was Rodgers defending that portal?
- (Aeon1) Why are therethese 2 Aeon factions? And why are they fighting each other?
- (Aeon5) So... Im attacking my own government now?
- (Cybran1) This terraformer isnt really important for the war, is it? The cybrans are getting curbstomped and Brackman just cares about a damn terraformer?
- (Cybran6) Why does Gauge want that terraformer so bad? And if he serves Brackman, why does Brackman send both Gauge and Ivan after it? I assume he didnt WANT it to get destroyed...
- (Ending) Why is it peace all of a sudden? I hope not because Gauge was beaten? WTF|||SteveB
I liked the story, but I would also like to hear your answers to Neph's question if you have time.
Also, will Dr. Brachman become the first of a race of fully robotic commanders?
Bast
Neph, Gauge is a mastermind.|||Nephylim|||Nephylim|||Where did that happen? I'm completely lost as to when we discovered that.|||b00m4156|||Nephylim|||The best way to fix the story would be to tell SE to shove it and then hire dots to write it.
Ever since FF12 I've been disappointed with SE.|||Quote:|||Raiden, check your damn sources for once. Story wasnt written by SE.
B08AH|||Obviously we need an expansion to explain everything with lots of balance improvements and levels with new units and the DLC units too.
