Experimental Rush

This has been annoying me lately. The UEF/Cybran experimental rush. Now its not the fact that they are rushing experimentals that is the problem. The problem is they can make it invincible against land units.
I will rush Aeon land units. I will have about 15~25 and start attacking them. They bring a megalith. It can shoot me before I can shoot it. When I get close to attacking range it runs away and keeps running. It shoots be from behind and moves faster than my units can. If I continue pursuit I die. If I run away he just turns around and I still die. Then a 2nd one comes and destroys my base...
Its pretty imbalanced since an early experimental rush can destroy everything if you do not have a lot of air (or have them disabled). Perhaps have a speed nerf?
On a related topic... Why do we even have experimentals that are rushable? Its such a sad departure from SC1. Experimental spam is fun at first but.... it does get annoying.|||Yes, to my tastes, minor experimentals are a bit too good vs normal tanks. BUT, as aeon, you can easily beat it. They have something OP of their own. Do NOT use the willfindya or urchinow though - those suck. Your best bet is to get teleport, then teleport on top of the experimental, and instakill it. This actually reliably beats minor spam.|||From my experience a single air unit can scout a blatantly obvious mega rush.
Go air heavy.|||Nephylim|||Apply some aggressive land pressure and you should be able to cripple or cracxk an exp rush well before it's out. If you're not confident in doing that, go hybrid land/RS and tech to teleport, it takes about as much RP as a minor but is much, much better.
The megalith should definately not be able to utrun tanks, if it's actually doing that, then that's probably because of the formation bonus when moving them with loyalists and that's just another way to exploit that retarded system.|||Darthlawsuit|||It does depend on the map. On a small 1v1 map you'll easily be able to crush somone with early land pressure while on a 3v3 it can be much harder to stop your opponent getting out their megalith/fatboy. Though if it's a fatboy you should try microing to dodge its shots.|||Apparently Shotjas are useless,
time to switch to cybran I guess.|||Mister_willing_to_learn|||Nephylim|||Nephylim|||Lol at this thread.|||Just lol? Or trollolol?|||Only lol, since this thread doesn't even need to be trolololo'd.|||Cygmus|||Exactly my point. Also, it's topic, not opic. Silly neph.|||^^ Cygmus is doing a very good job of trolling these past few days :).
Anyway I believe its ballanced atm even on van horne core its possible to stop a mega rush (although its very hard) and van horne core imo is the worst map for ballance of megas.|||DaemonicKnight|||Sry I edited it and accidently deleted which map i was talking about. Van Horne Core. Edited now.|||Well I know that recyclers can reliably hold off megas, but that's requires you to be gayer than your opponent, so essentially you hold of gayness with even more gayness.|||Smart use of megaliths can counter teleports! :D|||UncertainCat|||Cygmus|||splattedone|||The more reliable part is to actually get him before megaliths come out, shouldn't be too hard on small maps and on big maps...well I don't know. Darkenoids ftw?
