AoE Slow Ability?

Recently I was playing a 2v2 game with a friend, and one of our units (probably experimental) seemed to be causing the enemy tanks and smaller units to turn purplish/pink and move extremely slowly. We have tried to reproduce the effect, but haven't seen it again. The races we were using were Cybran and Aeon, so the ability is probably spawned from one of those 2 races, though we have no idea if it was a building doing it or what.
Does an AoE slow effect that turns the affected units purple and lasts for several seconds sound familiar to anybody? Thanks in advance for your responses.|||I know that if you hover protobrains above your units there's a "purplish" effect emmited from the units showing that they're earning more veterancy. But there's no slowdown effect to that and it only works with an allied protobrain, enemy protobrain won't affect veterancy of enemy units.|||The closest thing I can think of is loyalists using speed-reducing mega armour. That has a purply effect. But that's a self-inflicted speed reduction. The AI loves to use it though, maybe that's what you were seeing.|||Quote:|||A few months back I could have recommended the supcom2 wiki, but recently it's fallen into a bit of a state of disrepair and isn't entirely accurate, particularly with the DLC units. supcom2db is pretty good at main unit attributes (Their guns, health, shields etc) but doesn't mention things like the protobrain veterancy buff and similar. Even some of the in game researches don't specify exactly what they do (Stacked gauss cannon is such an example "increasing firepower" isn't exactly helpful).
And yeah, the manual is tripe, particularly after many updates have invalidated parts of what it says.|||http://supcomdb.com/sc2/unitlist
There's the database. It doesn't tell you every detail about units, but it tells you most of them.|||Cool idea for a unit.|||Bastilean|||All major experimentals have the "massive" trait. The problem is that they push normal units out of their way and tend to walk around buildings. But with some major microing in tight spaces you can get the KK, ML, UC and C-rex to crush buildings and units. Don't expect to be able to get it to crush stuff every game though.
