Is there any chance to get these people banned?

Not many people play ranked anymore though - Lower level players gave up because its crowded with comrushers and that just no fun to play against, and higher level players are annoyed by the imbalances.|||I do try on occasion but don't often get matches. I have to say that I very rarely encounter cheaters. In any case the leaderboard doesn't really represent the best players, merely those who have played the most matches against weaker players.|||Hmm I thought GPG released a hotfix that got rid of this "cheat"?
dose GPG ban cheaters if they are reported to them with replay evidence?|||GPG fixed a exploit in the repeat build code that allowed you to get infinite mass/energy. Based on one the few replays that I have watched of people reaching fort arty and battleships 4 min into a game, I feel like I have a guess on what they are doing. Unfortunately, fixing this kind of exploit is hard and short of ridiculous measures such as address space randomization and obfuscation, the best thing GPG can do is just end the game when a desync is detected in a ranked match.

It does appear that the research point exploit was never solved...|||Mithy|||The first RP cheat that supcom 2 suffered from was pretty early on and didn't cause a desync. That one was fixed pretty sharply.|||MareTranquil|||Quote:|||TenTron|||Not to stir up dead ghosts, but there wouldve been a competitive game if the game was properly balanced. 8 months ago.|||How does the backend of SCom2 ranked compare to other games that use Steam for ranked play?
Certainly SCom2 ranked system is pretty inferior to GPGNet in terms of features and usuability, but is it Steam's fault? Or did SCom2 simply not implement very much functionality? (given that ranked was added after release, it wouldnt be surprising if it was very rushed.)|||Well, I dont know. Red Alert 3 got its matchmaking working after release as well, but that worked way better. I think the reason why RA3 did better was a combination of a bigger competitive fanbase, less "lame" strategies like comrush/tml rush, and less hacking/cheating problems. Ultimately though, if there is a lack of top players, the others will quit eventually because there isnt a lot of challenge.|||Whom should I ask to watch replay and deal with cheating player deservedly?|||I don't have a solution to your question but I do have an idea for determining who is responsible for a disconnection during a match.
When a player's internet connection drops they will disconnect from steam. The player who didn't disconnect keeps their connection to steam. A simple check to determine who is still logged in would allow a winner to be determined.
I know this wouldn't help desyncs.|||There was no desyncs, only a lot of researh points. The name of player zeims.
