Shaking the exploit tree

[:1]I am looking for information on known exploits in the current build (either vanilla or DLC).
We *think* we have a good up-to-date list, based on Forum and PM feedback, but we would love to get the opinions of those who play most actively, and perhaps haven't voiced the problems they see.
If you have insight into one or more exploits, please send me a PM with a list of ones you know about. I will message you back for more detail if there is one that we haven't heard about and need more information.
I may not be able to respond to every PM, depending on volume, but if you don't get a response, then please assume that we know about your list, and accept our thanks in advance for the responses.
- Servo|||Good to know ... guys, on your place I'd damn make sure to send good feedback on time. This might very well be last important/meaningful patch for this game at all, and you'd rather not be screwed like with FA ... take a hint*

* if there is any good time for getting something fixed, then do it now
|||So theres going to be a patch?

cough cough
balance
cough cough
COUGH|||Throw in as many of the CBP balance changes as possible and you would really make my day. :D|||Oh god. Oh god. CBP changes in an official patch would have me playing this game again 3 hours a day. Don't get me wrong, fixing exploits is nice, but when you mostly play with people you know balance is more important than fixing things nobody will use anyway.|||*cough* Method to pass arbitrary Lua data between lobby states, and to the Sim. *cough*|||When you move ur commander and it hits a unit the commander stops for no reason as if the tank is bigger tank the commander. Can really affect u when trying to avoid a snipe.|||Rougue Nanites being able to be produced in multiple numbers (this got PM'ed months and months ago). (I also think the same bug can apply to Magnetron)|||It would be really nice if the desync message doesnt pop up every 5 seconds when someone's desyncing, maybe add a "don't show again" button. This would fix the problem in ranked where people desync on purpose to make the opponent leave
Also, loyalist are too weak, making Cybran way underpowered (completely unused) in 1v1s. I agree on taking changes from the CBP into the game :D|||+1 for CBP to be implemented
Also can u please make a hotkey for allowing ur units to attack a unit and move in a percific direction (or move and a attack a percific unit). This really annoys me how u cant do this :(|||DaemonicKnight|||DaemonicKnight|||RPhilMan1|||Aeon ACU loses it's speed upgrade after building or repairing something on many maps.
There is no way I know of to get the upgrade back once you build or repair something.|||Yep, I've been playing ai for quite a couple of month, I havent touched multiplayer except to play with some friends. The CBP would have me back playing online with Everybody else here.
+1 to CBP.|||Lol sorry for majorly derailing the thread, Servo. Didnt expect that kind of response at all. I love you people.|||BulletMagnet|||+1 CBP|||What about the debate on the pull-in-smash transport bug/"feature"?
Personally, I think it should stay. It's very difficult to acquire; I've never once gotten to that point in the game, and it would be very amusing to pull off. Aside from fighters, there's not a whole lot of units that combo would be strong against that late into the game.
Also, there have been replays floating around where a player is able to acquire an insane amount of research within minutes. Pretty sure GPG is aware of this going on and I hope it is fixable.|||I have heard about there being a research point exploit, but no one has said how it is done. If anyone knows how to perform this exploit, it would help a lot.|||I like the pullinsmash/transport combo too. Its quite funny and it doesn't affect general competitive gameplay.
I have had a case where a battleship clipped onto land on seraphim islands and couldn't fire or go back to sea. It was tipped up like it was sinking and couldn't shoot. However, I could move it around the island.
I also saw a similar case where my ally's pullinsmash clipped into a mesa on etched desert and became invincible after being teleported there with a space temple. It killed quite a lot of the AI's tanks. I have no idea how to recreate either of those bugs though and I didn't save the replays.|||DaemonicKnight|||sorian|||I believe the research exploit involves modifying memory (hence the desync). There's at least one program that at one time was able to modify supcom2 memory and change the mass and energy of a player in single player. I would imagine the research hack is along the same lines, making it rather difficult to permanently patched.
If gpg would like, I'm sure the community can point them to some replays where someone used this exploit.|||dawumyster
